Capacity Development For Clean Development Mechanism
offers (6) training courses on the various aspects of the CDM project
cycle. Each training course is designed to fit a one-day schedule bearing
in mind the various CDM stakeholders as participants. The participants
to these training courses may include representatives from the government
sectors, private sectors, financial institutions, non-government organizations
(NGOs), research institutes and the academe. The training methods include
lectures, hands-on exercises and group workshop.
The CD4CDM- Philippines team of the Climate Change Information Center designed and conducted these training workshops. CD4CDM-Philippines also offers a training package covering the various cycle of the CDM designed to address the specific needs and schedule of the participants. The scope of the workshop includes 2 phases:

CD4CDM-Philippines has conducted the one-day
training courses once every month from May to October 2003 in Metro
Manila. Participants included representatives from the government, private
institutions, financial institutions, NGOs, research institutes and
the academe. Phase 1 of the training package was also conducted for
the officers and employees of the Development Bank of the Philippines,
a premiere institution and a significant banking partner for CDM implementation
in the Philippines. Recently, the team has given a special training
to the officers and staff of the Department of Environment and Natural
Resources (DENR), a government institution that may soon house the Designated
National Authority of the Philippines. Two other institutions are scheduled
to avail of the CDM training package.
